Free admission to JANM all day!
Museum Day is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine. JANM is offering FREE admission all day as part of the annual Museum Day event from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.; last entry 4 p.m.
What to know for your visit:
- Well-fitting face masks are strongly recommended for all visitors, except for children age two and under.
- Visitors who are feeling sick or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms will not be allowed to enter the Museum.
- Present your print or electronic ticket to our Visitor Services staff to scan and confirm your admission.
- Large bags are not permitted. JANM cannot hold any jackets, clothing, or bags outside of lockers.
- A limited number of self-serve storage lockers (9"W x 22"H x 16"D) are available on a first-come basis. Valid ID required to use lockers.
- No food or drinks permitted in the museum.
- Only trained service animals are allowed.
Please note that the following are unavailable:
- JANM Store - Closed Mondays through Thursdays; Only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (You can order online at janmstore.com for details about in-store pick-ups)
- Hirasaki National Resource Center - Closed
