Imagine Little Tokyo Writing Workshop with D.K. Furutani

Get ready for the 2027 Imagine Little Tokyo Short Story Contest at this generative workshop. Author D.K. Furutani will investigate how form and structure serve as containers for delivering stories. During the session, we’ll examine previous years’ stories, hear from JANM Curator Kristen Hayashi about her favorite little-known spots in Little Tokyo, and engage with writing prompts intended to crack open an entry point to beginning your story.
