Virtual: The Ireichō National Tour
This year, JANM will partner with The Irei Project and USC’s Duncan Ryuken Williams to travel the Ireichō in conjunction with pilgrimages to a number of former War Relocation Authority, Department of Justice, and Wartime Civil Control Administration incarceration sites.
Get a behind-the-scenes look at how the Ireichō came to be through a talk by Duncan Ryuken Williams and find out how to contribute to this national movement and its crowdfunding campaign.Traveling the Ireichō in conjunction with pilgrimages extends the goal of the Irei: National Monument for the WWII Japanese American Incarceration by honoring and recognizing all 125,284 individuals in the Ireichō and providing an opportunity for thousands of more people across our nation to engage in this powerful and intimate act of racial repair and healing.
