The Democracy Center presents the third annual “Democracy on the Rocks:..” a comedy night series that uses humor as a tool for resistance, reflection, and social change.  

Democracy on the Rocks brings together comedians of color and socially conscious performers who use humor to expose injustice, critique power, and celebrate resilience. Throughout history, comedy has served as a powerful form of resistance—breaking through fear, sparking dialogue, and connecting communities. This program embraces comedy’s radical edge, providing a stage where voices too often silenced can speak truth to power, offering both meaningful reflection on our times and a reminder that the fight for justice can be joyful too.
