はじめてのリトル東京：「イマジン・リトル東京短編小説コンテスト」ワークショップ

「イマジン・リトル東京短編小説コンテスト」は、今年で第12回を迎えます。このコンテストには英語の成人・青年部門だけでなく日本語部門もあり、日本語での短編小説も募集しています。「応募してみたいけれど、リトル東京のことをよく知らない」という方に向けて、日本語でワークショップを開催します。ワークショップでは、リトル東京がどんな場所なのかといった概要を紹介するとともに、リトル東京を舞台にしてどんな登場人物を描くのかといった実践的なアドバイスをお伝えします。  

このコンテストは、リトル東京歴史協会（LTHS）が主催し、全米日系人博物館の「ディスカバー・ニッケイ」プロジェクトの協力で実施します。応募締め切りは2025年2月28日（金）です。詳細や応募方法については、リトル東京歴史協会のウェブサイト（https://www.littletokyohs.org/imagine-2024）をご覧ください。

Join the Imagine Little Tokyo Short Story Contest for a special Japanese-language workshop that will introduce you to an overview of Los Angeles’s Little Tokyo and provide tips for placing fictional characters in real-life settings. 

Now in its 12th year, the Imagine Little Tokyo Short Story Contest is unique because it has a Japanese-language category in addition to English-language adult and youth categories. The contest is presented by Little Tokyo Historical Society in partnership with the Discover Nikkei project and the deadline for entries is February 28, 2025.
