JANM has spent the last two years expanding our national presence and transforming our physical and digital campus, exhibitions, and programming. We are thrilled to share that these investments are now culminating in the Museum's grand re-opening on January 23, 2027. Focused on our mission to promote understanding and celebrate cultural diversity, we look forward to sharing with you how the Museum plans to offer a more welcoming, inclusive, and interactive visitor experience and secure its future for decades to come. The Japanese American communities in the Bay Area are an important part of this new chapter for JANM.

The event will include updates regarding our reopening, highlights from our JANM On the Go initiative, and an updated preview of our new permanent exhibition, In the Future We Call Now: Realities of Racism, Forging Democracy. Light refreshments will be provided.

Spaces are limited. Please RSVP by October 9 and and contact Hiro Edeza, Assistant Development Manager, at hedeza@janm.org if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you at the event!
